Our Team
Dr. Kali Freeman, PhD, MD
Dr. Freeman, MD, a board-certified pathologist, oversees quality assurance, compliance and all other regulatory requirements of our CLIA laboratory. She brings extensive experience as a CLIA laboratory director and training in both anatomic and clinical pathology (University of Chicago and UC Davis). She received her BA from Drake University and her MD from the Ohio State University.
Dr. Stewart M. Holt, PhD
Dr. Holt bring years of experience with strategy, innovation, and workflow management in the infectious disease and next-generation sequencing Molecular Diagnostics space. Dr. Holt secured 2 FDA EUAs during the COVID-19 pandemic allowing for more convenient and available COVID-19 testing. Dr. Holt brings experience with CAP inspections and validations, 510(k) submissions and serving as a clinical trial principal investigator. This experience allows for effective clinical consultation with vendors and clients to most effectively address diagnostic needs. Dr. Holt holds a BS from Davidson College, a MS in Biochemistry and Physiology from UNC-Wilmington, and a PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
The lab is CLIA-certified and adheres to all regulations required by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988. Our Lab is inspected on an annual basis to ensure our process exceeds standards, and patient samples are handled with utmost care. Our reporting portal allows for convenient tracking of your test results. The portal will provide information regarding when your sample has arrived at the lab, and give you an estimate time of completion. Your sample data will be managed by our HIPAA compliant Lab Information Management System. Our LIMS platform has been optimized and custom built to serve the digital health environment, and allow us to make quick changes for real-time workflow and process improvements.
Each test received in the lab will be ordered by a physician prior to its analysis. We make sure the physician is involved in every step of the process. G Medical has teamed up with a nationwide network of physicians who are licensed across the US. This ensures every customer will have access to a physician review to discuss test results, or any treatment guidance. This whole process will be done via our streamlined digital health process. No need to visit a doctor’s office or clinic.
If the results are outside of the normal range, or positive, in the case of STD test, the customer can consult with our networked physician to discuss the test results and any required treatment, or lifestyle changes.
